The Crow - 14/12

I was at the launch of a book last week, in which my friend Eduardo Seiji participated as a guest artist ❤
His art is suberb looking, I'm a total sucker for his art!
The book is a tribute to Edgard Alan Poe, there are a lot of tales written by several writers inspired by his works.
It was a fun event, I had never been in a book launch~ wanted to leave a post here cause I wanted to register this moment, so yeah! My friend was really nervous, I'm so happy he's getting the recognition he deserves ❤❤❤

Life Drawing

I have been invited to draw in a documentary about life drawing among a lot of artists, and today was shooting day! :D
I was pretty nervous because of the shooting itself, I hadnt been to a life drawing session in a while and they will use the drawings we all produced in this session so I felt pressured to draw anything that looked good haha.
The poses started as fast as 2 minutes, then increased to 5 and finished off with 10 minute poses. Life drawing sessions are great, one of the best ways to train and study in my opinion. I particularly love them!

Octavio Cariello, who is an artist I really look up to, was there as a guest artist as well and he made a portrait of me while we waited *_*❤
After the session, I quickly took some photos of the drawings I made:

Book Fair!

Yesterday, a couple of friends and I went to a book fair that is taking place at the University of São Paulo, where the books are discounted up to 50%~ it was so crowded!
To tell you the truth, I havent bought any books in ages ^^; I didn't even think I would buy any so I had no money with me haha. This fair certainly re-awaken the book worm in me...

So I bought this beautiful fanzine with quotes from several writers and philosophers. The theme is hate, and it's beautifully illustrated! There was another edition about madness, which my friend bought :D
I also brought home this book written by Bruna Vieira, illustrated by Lu Cafaggi, which had been on my wishlist for a while! Lu Cafaggi's art style is so beautiful, she's someone I really look up to, I had to have this book <3 p="">
Really happy about those purchases, and I definitely want to buy a book to actually read before the year ends. Been eyeing some Murakami works - I simply adore his writing!
Are you reading anything at the moment? Any recommendations? Would love to hear about that!

ComicCon!

I was at ComicCon this year in Brazil, for the first time! There was a whole lot to see at the artist's alley, so many impressive works!
Didn't buy much cause money haha but I did buy the cutest mug from Fabiana Shizue, ink stories from Mika Takahashi (which I've wanted since last year!) and a pack of prints from Tiago Kogi (I love his watercolor works ahhhh!).
I'm very happy about those purchases, I hope I can have a table there next year!

Do you usually buy stuff from artists? Let me know in the comments!
