Showing a bit of my creative process :) Music lyrics and books are my favourite source of inspiration as I enjoy creating a story for my drawings; they help me create an environment, a meaning, a direction. I believe that feelings and empathy are very important, not only for me as an artist, but for the viewer as well. So for this one drawing, I used a quote by Haruki Murakami, that says: Possibilities are like cancer. The more I think about them, the more they multiply, and there is no way to stop them. I'm out of control. (Dance, Dance, Dance) I roughly sketched and started with some watercolor stains all over, very intuitively to be honest, safe for her pink cheeks (I love pink cheeks! ahaha). I always draw/ paint these on my regular Canson sketchbook, nothing fancy, no watercolor paper. Drawing with friends always helps! At this point, I started inking with a cheap blue ink that I love. Progress shots of watercolor study, reference used was a painting by Tom Hedderick :) I used my Canson One sketchbook for this painting, A4 size. I really like this sketchbook for paintings, it handles watercolor and ink very well although it's very different from painting on a 100% cotton paper, it's much better than other cellulose papers I've tried that claim to be made for watercolor (like Montval).

Watercolors Trying out the blogger app for android, lets see how this post will turn out lol

I bought a watercolor mask so I quickly drew some sillyness to test it out *u* some parts went better than others, but I really enjoyed working with that~*~*~* ahhh I missed watercolors

I used the idea of an old painting I did back in 2009 and remade with my current style. I don't think I'll color it cause the idea needs more maturing :P Here's the old version: I believe this was one of my first paintings with watercolors x_x I only had this lame scan in gif from years ago, sorry. Analizing a bit, the old painting looks so stern XD I like how the new one looks a little more playful and innocent. Hopefully I improved even if it was a little bit. <3
