Just a preview of the sketch I'm working on! I had put her right arm forward before, but then I realized I had done it recently :P And I wouldn't want it to look like a repeat of Aaaaanyway, yeah! Serial Experiments Lain fanart <3 It was the first anime to blow my mind~ I've been on a nostalgia roll, and Lain will always have a special place in my heart. Maybe it's considered too weird by some? Of course it had its creepy moments XD  But I think it has a great message in it. My main inspiration here were the opening and ending theme songs, which are in a way a cry for help. I still love the opening specially, and I was obsessed with it for a long time! I thought not only it was a beautiful melody, but the singer's voice was amazingly clear~ Acoustic version sounds great <3:

Back!

I returned, after a long long time! Sorry about that! Decided to start using this blog again, for sketches and everything :D I also feel like writing in english because it feels as comfortable as my first language =3=;; Sorry about that as well! Since my last post, things changed a lot in my personal life but I don't feel like I upgraded a lot, art-wise XD I feel like I'm working slowly but eh, I'm happy! Let's get goinngggg~~ Okayyyy time for a sketch! My inspiration for this was thinking about how many people don't accept themselves how they are; not necessarily because they are bad, or don't like being good, or even not being good enough. But I feel like their intern conflicts outcast their real self, and their own brightness. I think it's awesome to be able to look at yourself and fully embrace what and who you are, with all your mightyness. Just be comfortable being you. Accepting the different sides of oneself doesn't mean being a hypocrit...

Yay, it is done! I gotta say, my comfort zone is drawing portraits/ bust up. I know, so lazy of me D: But hey! Trying to improve even if just a little~ I have been reading quite a lot of tutorials (if you wanna mention any, I deeply appreaciate XD) and I think I'm ready to get out of the comfort zone since I am content with my style, now. I'm just gonna embrace anime because it makes me happy! Progress shots are in previous entries:  #1  and  #2 I have accepted the fact that it is much easier for me to work with just one layer, or two. I just start to sketch and then refining till I have some sort of outline, then work filling spaces up. I rather just "erase" by filling with the background color or whatever than dealing with a lot of layers lol. I also have a liking to paintings with a certain roughness, and brush strokes~ Well, for the drawing itself! I had mentioned before about my idea for this picture and it was inspired in TLC's "Unpretty...
