First day of school

I was talking with my mom about my first days at school as a little kid. Apparently, I cried a lot XD.

But even these days, as an adult, I find a lot of friends that feel this way about school starting again. hahah

Just a preview of the sketch I'm working on! I had put her right arm forward before, but then I realized I had done it recently :P And I wouldn't want it to look like a repeat of Aaaaanyway, yeah! Serial Experiments Lain fanart <3 It was the first anime to blow my mind~ I've been on a nostalgia roll, and Lain will always have a special place in my heart. Maybe it's considered too weird by some? Of course it had its creepy moments XD  But I think it has a great message in it. My main inspiration here were the opening and ending theme songs, which are in a way a cry for help. I still love the opening specially, and I was obsessed with it for a long time! I thought not only it was a beautiful melody, but the singer's voice was amazingly clear~ Acoustic version sounds great <3:

Back!

I returned, after a long long time! Sorry about that! Decided to start using this blog again, for sketches and everything :D I also feel like writing in english because it feels as comfortable as my first language =3=;; Sorry about that as well! Since my last post, things changed a lot in my personal life but I don't feel like I upgraded a lot, art-wise XD I feel like I'm working slowly but eh, I'm happy! Let's get goinngggg~~ Okayyyy time for a sketch! My inspiration for this was thinking about how many people don't accept themselves how they are; not necessarily because they are bad, or don't like being good, or even not being good enough. But I feel like their intern conflicts outcast their real self, and their own brightness. I think it's awesome to be able to look at yourself and fully embrace what and who you are, with all your mightyness. Just be comfortable being you. Accepting the different sides of oneself doesn't mean being a hypocrit...

I love the concept and the mind tricks in this anime. It has a good ending and closure too~ I had an urge to produce something. Been considering joining some charity artbook projects! I've looked at 2 so far, I hope I can get in and contribute to those institutions as well~ I like the idea! They also had nice themes : D Bye bye for now~!
